The Role
Seal is looking for its first product designer. We want someone who is willing to make Seal a leader not just in smart contracts, but across design. Smart contracts are a new primitive whose potential still isn’t fully understood. Your goal is to unlock that potential. Everything design – the product, logo, mascot, and style guide – will be under your purview. You will help set the product vision with engineering. If we’re right, together we will have fundamentally changed how people interact with finance.
Responsibilities
- Understand and articulate the user: know their pain points inside and out
- Spearhead usability testing to validate your thinking
- Ship quickly across all projects, not just design
- Define the product vision: set, test, and iterate on UI designs
- Create fluid user-flows, thoughtful wireframes, effortless prototypes, & stunning UI
- Assist on high-performance web pages
- Solicit feedback early and often, from within the company and out
- Maintain and extend our design systems
- Maintain a high bar of ease of use and customer delight
- Construct, grow, and manage the design team over time
Minimum Requirements:
- Based in the US
- +3 yrs of product-based UI/UX design primarily focused on a consumer audience
- Portfolio of design work demonstrating skill in user research, prototyping/testing, visual design, and design systems
- A good understanding of the formal elements of design, not just limited to the web and including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
- Proven ability to collaborate with other disciplines
- Understanding of web3
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading and mentoring others
- Experience in JS, HTML, CSS
- Animation experience
- Experience with A/B testing

Compensation Range: $100K - $175K
